PURPOSE:To obtain a tablet having good collapsing properties in the stomach, forming no powder by abrasion, having smoothness and luster, by coating the surface of raw table with a small amount of a suspension or dispersion of a high-melting higher fatty acid ester and a cellulose derivative soluble in a hydrophilic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A higher fatty acid ester (e.g., hardened oil such as fish oil, beef tallow, etc., wax of animal, vegetable, or mineral substance) having >=70 deg.C, preferably 80-85 deg.C melting point, a cellulose derivative such as methyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, etc. soluble in a hydrophilic solvent, and, if necessary, 1- 20wt% based on total of both the compounds of a surface active agent are suspended or dispersed into a hydrophilic solvent. The surface of a raw tablet is coated with 0.02-0.8wt%, preferably about 0.1wt% calculated as solid content based on the raw tablet of the prepared treatment solution.
