PURPOSE:To enhance simplicity and performance of a magnetic ink recorder by using a system in which the release of magnetic ink is controlled by magnetism during the non-recording period, and ink droplets are released onto a recording paper by giving a force higher than the magnetism to the magnetic ink during the recording period. CONSTITUTION:An ink tank 13 having a slit 11 in the longitudinal direction and housing magnetic ink 12 inside and a permanent magnet 14 are provided above recording papers 10 to be supplied. A controller 17 to control electrification according to image signals for each magnetic head 16 is provided on the opposite side of the paper 10. During the non-recording period, the release of the ink 12 is controlled by the magnetism of the magnet 14, whereas during the recording period, a force higher than the magnetism of the magnet 14 is given to the ink 12 by the head 16 according to image signals by the controller 17, thereby causing ink droplets to fly onto the paper 10. High-speed, high-quality recording can thus be directly made by such a simple constitution. |
