The device is for automatic, continuous removal of coal from a ship's bunker, and includes a screw transporter suspended in a traverse across the bunker to move coal from one or both sides. The traverse runs on beams running in the longitudinal direction of the bunker, and in turn is displaceable on vertical beams by a hydraulic gear at each beam end. The screw transporter can cover the whole coal storage area, and can also operate when the ship is at sea. |
