PURPOSE:To polish a work uniformly, by putting ferromagnetic abrasive powdery grains into the inside of the nonmagnetic work being set up between a pair of linear motors or into the inside of a nonmagnetic vessel having the work, while forming a reverse magnetic field in these paired linear motors. CONSTITUTION:A vessel 2 of a nonmagnetic material is set up between a pair of linear motors 1 and 1'. Each of projections 4a and 5a of locking members 4 and 5 is fitted in opening parts at both sides of a work 6 whereby this work 6 is housed in the vessel 2 in a state of being locked. In the case where an outer part alone or an inner part alone or both surfaces of the work 6 are polished or simultaneously, abrasive powdery grains 7 are put in the outer and inner parts and both these parts each, forming a moving magnetic field in these linear motors 1 and 1' toward arrow directions reversed with each other, whereby ferromagnetic powdery grains 7 are furiously moved by motion of the magnetic field and thereby these powdery grains 7 continuously rubbed a surface of the work 6, thus even such the work 6 as being of complex form is polished uniformly on its surface. |
