PURPOSE:To improve reliability and maintainability by mounting a diagnostic submodule on an electronic circuit module through an attachable and detachable socket and connecting it to individual function circuits by a diagnostic bus. CONSTITUTION:Not only function circuits F1-Fn but also a diagnostic submodule DM are mounted in an electronic circuit module PCB. Function circuits F1- Fn are diagnosed by the diagnostic submodule DM, and diagnostic results are stored in a memory RAM and are transferred to an external device, which is connected to a connector CT, through a communication bus CB by a communication processor ADLC as required. Since the diagnostic submodule DM is operated by a battery BAT, diagnostic results are held even if power supply is stopped. The diagnostic submodule can be detached as required and is combined with another diagnostic device to analyze diagnostic results. |
