PURPOSE:To improve a knocking detecting precision by detecting the engine vibration above a prescribed level from the starting time to the finishing time of the knocking detection based on the period of a basic igniting signal corresponding to a basic igniting spark advance. CONSTITUTION:A base igniting signal generating period is determined by a basic igniting signal generating time by a timer 8e incorporated in a microcomputer 8 according to the judgement of a basic igniting signal generation by a pick up coil 14 opposing to a signal rotor 12 in a spark advance apparatus and a signal similar to the last time stored in a RAM8c. The base igniting spark advance angle is read from a ROM, and the starting time and the finishing time of the knocking detection and a variation starting time, etc. corresponding to a judging level variation starting crank angle are determined accurately. The comparing standard level through the computer 8, a D/A converter 10 in the knocking time and an engine vibration level from a knocking sensor 2 are compared by a comparator 6 to judge the knocking. The knocking detecting precision is improved by the knocking time determined accurately. |
