PURPOSE:To adjust automatically to an ideal seat position, and to promote safe driving by recognizing the position of a vehicle driver as a three-dimensional position by a picture. CONSTITUTION:Light is irradiated to a vehicle driver by a light emitting means (a). The reflected light from the driver is detected as picture information by a picture detecting means (b) placed in a slanting front of a driver's seat. Also, the position of the driver moves only in the forward and backward, and upper and lower directions of the driver's seat; and based on a two-dimensional picture detected by the means (b), a recognizing means (c) recognizes a three-dimensional position of the driver in a car room. Based on this three-dimensional position, an adjusting means (d) controls the position of the seat. |
