PURPOSE:To secure superior electromagnetic wave shield effect and sufficient light transmittancy and to protect eyes again an electromagnetic wave in an easy-to-see state by arranging a light transmittable shield material formed by coating base cloth with metal in lens fitting-in parts of a pair of spectacles. CONSTITUTION:The light transmittable shield material 1 formed by plating the base cloth such as woven fabric and knitted fabric is arranged in lens fitting-in parts 3 of a pair of spectacles 2. Yarn used for the base cloth has, preferably, 50 denier thickness and meshes of the base cloth are sized that one side of each lattice, the diameter of the loop of a stitch, or the length of the diagonal of a shell pattern is about 0.1-5mm.. This shield material 1 is mounted in a lens 4 and arranged in the fitting-in part 3 together with the lens 4. When this pair of spectacles are used, the shield rate is about 25-30dB to an electromagnetic wave of 1GHz and 35-50dB to 10GHz and increases with frequency. Consequently, the eyes are protected againt an electromagnetic wave from, for example, a cathode-ray tube and a picture on the cathode-ray tube is seen easily without any moire. |
