PURPOSE:To aim at improvements in cooling efficiency, by installing a water spray cylinder, which cools a part of compressed air, in a turbine casing as well as installing a spiral outer tube on an outer circumference of an inner tube of this water spray cylinder, and making it so as to secure a cooling action with water sprayed to the inside of the inner tube. CONSTITUTION:A water spray cylinder 18 is set up at the downstream side of a combustor 14 inside a casing of a gas turbine, while a part of compressed air out of a compressor is led in bypassing the combustor 14 and cooled hereat by water spray action, turning to cooling air, and fed to a turbine. This water spray cylinder 18 is made up of housing an inner tube 22 concentrically inside an outer tube 21 composed of winding up plural, for example, three water tubes 20a-20c in spiral form. And, when water is sprayed out of a water injection nozzle 28 installed in a tip part entering the inside of the tube 22 for each of these water tubes 20a-20c, compressed air is sucked up from the peripheral spots there and guided in the inner tube 22 whereby the compressed air is made so as to be cooled by the evaporation action. In this connection, such waterdrops as being too much for evaportion is steamed away by an evaporator 25. |
