It essentially comprises: - a pump with blades with constant output, with two twin rotors; - a pump with blades with variable output, with a ring which can be made eccentric. It is constructed around the pump with constant output. The body of the latter acts as its blade-carrying rotor. The assembly formed by the pumps is sandwiched in the covers of the casing in which distribution grooves for the fluid are made. The variation in output of the pump with variable output gives rise to the variation in speed of the rotors of the pump with constant output. The latter have a common feed supply, so that when one is blocked or braked, the other rotates faster. This is the differential function. This transmission unit, whose ''differential'' function can be eliminated by eliminating one rotor of the pump with constant output, may be used on the majority of motor vehicles needing a system for changing gear. <IMAGE>
