The square bucket 1 fitted with a lid 2 with an O-ring seal 12 is characterised in that its edge 4 comprises two small parallel lips 7, 8 extending vertically and against which is compressed the seal 12 housed in a peripheral groove 9 of the lid in which protrudes a third lip 11. These three lips constitute a zigzagged distortion of this seal 12 which produces perfect fluidtightness even when overturned and under load. This fluidtight closing device applies to containers of all types and of all shapes. <IMAGE>
