The bascule handle, for metal door and window frames, has a body accommodating a pair of spur racks, with lugs to connect with blocks on rods, for opening and closing. Each spur rack (5) comprises a base rod (6) and removable lug (2). The L-shaped rods have symmetrical double, shallow serrations (7) on their longer side (6a). One of the serrations provides connection with the gearwheel (4). On the shorter side (6b), the rods have a seat (8) to accommodate the bottom end (2a) of the appropriate lug, when firmly connected.
