PURPOSE:To ensure to record a signal at a prescribed recording position at all times when recording by removing residual change of a head changing device for tracking when reproducing which has hysteresis characteristics. CONSTITUTION:When mode selector switches 6, 16 and 21 are connected to a terminal (a), the device is set to recording mode. At this time, a switch 24 is made on as interlocked with the change-over or switches 6, 16 and 21, and thereby flip-flop 27 is reset again. At the same time, a timer circuit 26 starts clocking of specified period (t), and a residual change removing circuit 23 starts generation of a residual change removing signal. A driving circuit 22 makes damping driving of bimorph element 9, and removes residual change at the time of automatic tracking operation in reproduction mode by the hysteresis. |
