PURPOSE:To simplify the structure through reduction of the number of parts thus to reduce cost and to improve the durability by constructing an automatic closing valve for preventing intake of air in fuel tank with a float fitted movably up and down to the end section at the intake side of oil feed pipe. CONSTITUTION:A float 16 constituting the body of an automatic closing valve 10A is formed with blowing material having lower specific gravity than fuel into a ring. A recess 17 is formed in the center of the upper face of float 16 while a fuel drip path 18 is penetrated from said recess 17 to the bottom face. Then a collar 19 for preventing abrasion is fitted movably up and down over the innercircumferential face of float 16 at the intake side end section of oil feed pipe 2A. Furthermore, a blind cover 20 to be used as a stopper is mounted at the end of oil feed pipe 2A below the float 16 and a plurality of intake ports 21 are made in th circumferential face near said cover 20. Consequently, the float 16 will move upward in fuel to contact against the stopper 22 and maintain that state thus to open the intake port 21. |
