The invention relates to a masts and spars device, distributing and balancing tensions of the sails between tripod and main mast. When a wind tension is created on the sails, an antagonistic force of the device tends to bring the front sail towards the initial position. This front sail SPI etc., supported by the tripod, moves to relieve the main mast F which supports the main sail. Two small booms T U, fitted on the lateral masts I J, support two additional triangular sails. A ''double shock-absorber'' system B attenuates the jolts towards the prow.
