PURPOSE:To enable the oscillation of high output laser beams by a method wherein one lamp of each of the first laser head and the second laser head is connected in series with the first lighting power source, and the other excitation lamp with the second lighting power source. CONSTITUTION:When pulse voltage is impressed on the first and second lighting power sources 12 and 13 by operating a trigger pulse power source 16, the first excitation lamp 6a of the first laser head 1 and the second excitation lamp 6b of the second laser head 2 are lighted by the first lighting power source 12, and the first excitation lamp 6a of the second laser head 2 and the second excitation lamp 6b of the first laser head 1 are lighted by the second lighting power source 13; then, the sums of inputs to the first and second excitation lamps 6a and 6b of each laser head 1 and 2 become equal. Therefore, the laser rods 5 of the laser heads 1 and 2 are photo-excited at the same strength by the first and second lamps 6a and 6b, respectively, and consequently high output laser beams L in accordance with the inputs can be continuously oscillated. |
