PURPOSE:To promote atomization of fuel oil thus to improve combustion and to reduce smoke by forming a sump for water or mixture of water and oil while surrounding the outer tube of fuel injection valve thereby mixing high temperature high pressure water or mixture of water and oil with fuel oil. CONSTITUTION:High pressure oil is fed through an injection tube 14 and a fuel oil path 153 to a fuel injection hole 151 and controlled automatically by a needle 152. While water or mixture oil pressurized through high pressure pump is heated by heaters 22, 23 then fed through a control valve 24 to an injection valve 15 from where it is fed to a sump 156 formed in the outer tube 157 surrounding the fuel injection port 151. Approximately at the same time, fuel is injected through said hole 151 while water or mixture oil is injected through an injection hole 242 formed through said tube 157. Consequently, fuel will receive heat from water or mixture oil while simultaneously atomization is promoted through high speed flow resulting in improvement of combustion and reduction of smoke. |
