<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the misdetection of tape termination by applying the shift power given to a coupling member for an arm member connected to both reel shafts via friction from the reel shafts to a sensor member as the revolving power of a single direction. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic tape reaches its termination, the revolutions of both reel shafts 5a and 6a are stopped. Thus no revolving power is given to back tension arms 61 and 62, and the revolving power given to a sensor arm 65 via a coupling arm 63 is also lost. Therefore a follower pin 65e which is shifted toward a shaft 66 in response to the movement of an eccentric cam 67a is left there. This position is limited in a range more inside than the advance end of a crescent drive cam 67b. Then a follower pin 67b is put on the cam 67b and driven by the cam 67b and the arm 65 is turned large. This large rotation of the arm 65 ensures the detection of the tape termination with no error.</p> |
