PURPOSE:To achieve light accelerator operation, in a carburetor where one end of resilient member for energizing the accelerator in the closing direction is engaged with an accelerator operating element, by providing the engaging point at the other end of resilient member movably in such direction that said energizing force is increased only under deceleration. CONSTITUTION:In a throttle valve type carburetor directly operating a negative pressure piston for verying the cross-section of Venturi, a coil spring 17 for energizing the negative pressure piston downward is mounted on a throttle shaft 12 for lifting/lowering the negative pressure piston through a lever. One end 17a of said spring 17 is engaged with the shaft 12 while the other end 17b is engaged with a link 18 pivoted to a carburetor 1. The link 18 is coupled through a coupling chip 19 with a plunger 20 integral with the diaphragm 22 of a regulator 21. Consequently, when the intake negative pressure to be fed through a coupling tube 25 exceeds a predetermined level under deceleration, the energizing force of a spring 17 is increased through operation of diaphragm 22 movable to the right against a spring 24. |
