PURPOSE:To secure safety by providing a robot controller with a key hole for a key which change settings of control mode and providing a point teaching device with a key hole for a key which changes teaching operations. CONSTITUTION:A control mode changeover switch 31 on the console panel of the robot controller 2 has the key 31a inserted into the key hole formed in the center, and the key 31a is pulled out only when a teaching mode is selected, and settings of control mode are changed by inserting the key 31a. The point teaching device has the key hole into which the key 31a of the control mode changeover switch 31 is inserted. When an operator performs teaching operation, ''teaching'' is selected with the mode changeover switch 31 on the console panel and the key 31a is pulled out and inerted into the key hole of the point teaching device to turn on it, so that the operation is started. Consequently, the robot is prevented from being operated carelessly by the 3rd party. |
