PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion burning due to heating of center contact piece by providing an electrically conductive section at the contacting section between the center contact section and conductive ceramic rotor electrode thereby reducing the electrical resistance of said contacting section. CONSTITUTION:A center contact piece 2 made of hard carbon is provided in the center of distributor cap 1 made of insulative resin. While a rotor electrode 4 is secured to the distributor rotor 3 made of insulative resin. Here, the rotor electrode 4 is made of conductive ceramic while in order to provide an electrically conductive section at the contacting section with said piece 2, metallized layer of such as platinum is provided. Consequently, the electric resistance at said contacting section can be reduced resulting in prevention of abrasive burning due to heating through contacting resistance of said piece 2. |
