<p>A perforating apparatus relying upon electric discharge machining, comprising a rotary chuck (14) attached to the lower portion of a main body (12) that will be vertically sent toward a work piece W, such that a hollow rod electrode (16) can be held thereby, a guide (36) which slidably guides the hollow rod electrode (16) at a position close to the work W, a nozzle (40) provided at the lower portion of the guide (36) to supply a machining liquid, a rotary joint (28) for introducing the machining liquid into the hollow rod electrode, and electrically conductive means (34) for transmitting electric power to the hollow rod electrode to effect the discharge machining. Owing to the guide, the electrode stably rotates without vibrating. Further, the machining liquid is supplied from two portions to enhance the cooling function.</p> |
