Connector for V=shaped bus bar - has contact elements located in slots and subjected to spring contact pressure

A connector for coupling with the contacts of an electrical power bus bar has four contacts that are mounted for ease of insertion. The power bus bar has a 'U' shaped cross section with pairs of contacts on either side of the parallel arms. The connector has four contacts (4) with contact lugs (4a) that are located in slots within a housing (3) of insulating material. Each contact is biased by a single coil spring (6) that operates against a pressure pad (5) of insulating material. The surfaces (5b) of the pads are curved. When the connector is inserted into the aperture of the bus bar the contact elements (4) are free to tilt on the curved surface of the pads to facilitate insertion.
