The invention relates to a dispensing machine, with an insertion slot serving for receiving a coin and with a dispensing device which can be released as a result of the insertion of a coin and from which the controlled dispensing of an article can be carried out. Within the scope of the present invention, the articles are individual winning tokens. At the same time, in addition, within the scope of the present invention, the dispensing machine is provided with an input slot, through which a winning token taking the form of a magnetic card can be pushed in the direction of a sensing device, and the machine has additionally a win pay-out device which can be controlled in dependence on a magnetic strip coding made on the magnetic card.
