THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING INK SHEET

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording ink sheet in which a solvent contained in an ink layer is prevented from being evaporated and which can be used repeatedly, by a construction wherein a plurality of ink layers each of which comprises a low melting point compound and an organic or inorganic fine powder insoluble but dispersible in an organic solvent are provided on a base. CONSTITUTION:The ink sheet 8 comprises the first ink layer 10a, the second ink layer 10b and the third ink layer 10c which are sequentially laminated on the base 9 by coating to form an ink layer 10. A fine powder 11 is mixed and a uniformly dispersed in the ink layers 10a-10c in different densities. The amount of the fine powder 11 mixed in the second ink layer 10b constituting an intermediate layer is about 1/2-2 times of that of a resin. The amount of the powder 11 mixed in the first ink layer 10a constituting the lowermost layer is about 10-20% of that in the second ink layer 10b. The amount of the powder 11 mixed in the third ink layer 10c constituting the uppermost layer is about 50% of that in the second ink layer 10b.
