The invention relates to a process for producing black-and-white or coloured photographic materials which also contain water-soluble stabiliser complexes and/or antifogging complexes with restricted mobility, which materials consist of a paper base with barite layer containing gelatine and/or polymer or with a polyethylene coating, or of a film base, of light-sensitive layer(s) and of protective layer(s). According to the invention, a complex compound formed from a water-soluble cyclodextrin polymer and stabiliser and/or antifogging agent is introduced in a quantity of 10 to 100 g of complex/mol of silver halide, or in the other layers of 5 to 120 g of complex/kg of gelatine, advantageously 20 to 40 g of complex/mol of silver halide or 30 to 50 g of complex/kg of gelatine, into the aqueous coating solution required for producing the light-sensitive layer or protective layer of the photographic material or the auxiliary layer of the base (barite layer or substrate layer), the molar polymer/stabiliser ratio and/or polymer/antifogging agent ratio being varied between 1:1 and 30:1, advantageously between 2:1 and 5:1.
