The combination bearing, as a vertically arranged axial slide bearing (1) combined with a radial bearing (2) and an axially acting auxiliary bearing (3) as a counter-bearing, is provided in particular to take up the high operating forces in grinding and mixing processes, e.g. of bowl mills or roller mills, with the auxiliary bearing in particular limiting a lifting of the running ring (4) from the thrust blocks (14), e.g. during tilting motions of the thrust plate (5) due to incalculable operating states. The running ring (6) of the auxiliary bearing is connected in angularly movable fashion, e.g. by means of a pull rod (9), to the thrust plate (5) in such a way that its entire running surface comes into contact. <IMAGE>
