PURPOSE:To carry out efficiently and automatically the treatment of waste water by removing automationally and successively dust, sand and mud, and oil components in the waste water from car washing, and then discharging the water as waste water conforming to the standards. CONSTITUTION:The waste water from car washing is introduced into a storage vessel 3, and dirt is collected by a scraper 4 and removed in the first dust removing machine 1. The waste water is then introduced into the first oil-water separation vessel 20 through the second dust removing machine 17 wherein the floated oil and water is removed with a skimmer 26. The waste water in the intermediate layer is discharged, and the separated waste water is introduced into the second oil-water separation vessel 27. The sludge in the bottom layers of the separation vessels 20 and 27 is separated by a sludge separating machine 43. The floated oil components in the second oil-water separation vessel 27 are removed by an oil skimmer 46, and the waste water is introduced into a reactive flocculation unit wherein the flocculation with liquid chemicals is carried out. Then the floc is floated and removed at a pressure floatation apparatus 55 and the separated waste water is discharged into the sewerage. The treatment of waste water is efficiently and automatically carried out in this way.
