PURPOSE:To permit usage of the titled apparatus for a long period by sealing the vacuum of a connecting pipe between a receiver for a condenser and recovered liquid with metal remaining in the connecting pipe. CONSTITUTION:Metal vapor is introduced into an evacuated closed space 3 from a device 20 for generating the metal vapor, and the vapor is condensed by air- cooling and is solidified. The inside of a condenser 1 is heated by a heater 35 to melt the solid metal, and the melted metal is discharged by opening a valve 16 into an ingot case 28 in an evacuated casting chamber 24. Molten metal remaining in the midway of the connecting pipe 17 is cooled by the air and solidified after the discharge of the metal in the condenser, and the solidified metal seals the closed space 3 air-tightly from the casting chamber 24.
