Auxiliary circuit, for example a DC voltage supply circuit, for an apparatus having a motor which is to be supplied from an AC supply network and has an associated suppression capacitance, the auxiliary circuit likewise being supplied from the said network, via an impedance. According to the invention, the suppression capacitance forms at least a part of the said impedance, or it consists of two series-connected capacitors, one of which is connected in series with the auxiliary circuit and the other is connected in parallel therewith.
