PURPOSE:To produce metallic molds having high shape and accuracy by forming a sand mold from a pattern, forming a core having a boundary surface for parting by casing, casting metallic mold materials into the core, punching mating pin holes thereto and separating the metallic molds at the boundary surface for parting. CONSTITUTION:A pattern 3 is put into the clay 5 in a wooden flask 4 to form a parting plane and silicone is poured therein to form a silicone mold 7. The flask is upset and the clay 5 is removed then silicone is poured into the flask to form a mold 8. Glass fibers 14 are put into the part corresponding to mating and parting and ceramics is cast therein to form ceramic molds 10, 16 provided with the parting planes. Such molds are placed on a ceramic base 18, the parting plane 16 is supported by side wall ceramics 19 and finally metallic mold materials 1, 2 are poured therein and thereafter mating pin holes 21 are punched and the ceramic materials are removed. The mating metallic molds 1, 2 having the high accuracy in the mold shape and mating are obtd. |
