PURPOSE:To provide a printer small in size, light in weight and high in operability and reliability, by providing a printer-driving mechanism wherein two motors capable of being rotated in both forward and reverse directions are used jointly with one-way clutches. CONSTITUTION:When a motor B51 is rotated in the direction of an arrow (0), a recording paper 1 is fed by a paper-supplying roller 62 and the second paper- supplying roller 69 through friction coil springs 60, 67 constructed similarly to one-way clutches, is inserted into a chuck mechanism 4, and is fixed to a drum 3. Next, a motor A21 is rotated in the direction of an arrow (h), and the paper 1 is fed to a transfer-starting position while being wound around the drum 3 rotated in the direction of an arrow (k). When the motor B51 is then rotated in the direction of an arrow o', a thermal head 5 is fed to a position 5'. Then, a transfer signal is supplied to the thermal head 5', and the motor A21 is rotated in the direction of the arrow (h), thereby transferring. When transfer is finished, the motor A21 is rotated in the direction of an arrow h', whereby a paper-discharging roller 12 is rotated in the direction of an arrow m'. |
