PURPOSE:To product accurately and efficiently a pair of metallic molds by forming a core provided with a boundary part corresponding to a parting part based on templating using a pattern, embedding the core into the mold and parting the integrally cast metallic mold from said boundary part. CONSTITUTION:A silicone mold is templated from a wooden pattern in the 1st stage and ceramic is poured into the cavity of the silicone mold to form a core 10 in the 2nd stage. A boundary part 16 consisting of a parting material is integrally provided to the core 10. The core 10 is embedded into a molded and calcined ceramic frame 20 and a molten metal is poured into the flask to cast integrally a pair of metallic molds 1, 2. Positioning holes 21 and pin holes 22 are punched to the molds 1, 2 and thereafter the molds are parted from the boundary part 16 in the 4th stage. The efficient production of the metallic mold with good accuracy is made possible without subjecting the surfaces of a pair of the molds to special working. |
