<p>High temperature and/or melting furnace (112) for non-ferrous metals, which is provided with a dosing device (111) for automatically removing a predetermined quality of the non-ferrous metal melt (114) from a dosing chamber (131) connected through at least one obturable inlet opening (149) to a chamber (119) containing the non-ferrous metal melt and which may be subjected to the action of compressed gas to deliver a certain quality of the melting melt (114) through an outlet opening (125). In order to obtain a simple construction, the dosing chamber (141) is integrated to the furnace (112) and forms a part of a furnace vat (115). The inlet opening (149) may be closed by a closure piston (146) containing a compressed gas supply (151) and effecting a reciprocating motion, the reciprocating motion of the closure piston and the compressed gas supply being time controlled.</p> |
