The two clamping pieces (1) are constructed as a U-profile in the region of the clamping holes (2) for the rod A, as far as the clamping claw (3), and merge into a bent flat profile in the region of the clamping claw (3). The clamping holes (2) are somewhat larger than the diameter of the rod A and allow the clamping pieces to be tilted easily with respect to the rod A. The stress which is necessary for clamping is produced by means of a helical compression spring (7) which surrounds the screw (5). In order also to brace the rod which is to be held by the clamping claw (3), the screw (5) is rotated into the nut (6), the clamping pieces (1) also pressing on the rod A, into the final position, with their clamping holes (2). <IMAGE>
