A method is described for improving the corrosion resistance of the anodised surface of parts made of aluminium or an aluminium alloy, in which the parts provided with an anodised surface are dipped into an electroless chromic acid bath having a concentration from 0.001 to 0.1 g of CrO3 per 100 ml of H2O.
