PURPOSE:To carry out efficient phase-separation, and to obtain a polymer having high uniformity, by separating the polymerization liquid produced in a polymerizer into the concentrated polymer liquid phase and the dilute liquid phase by a separation tank, recycling a part of the dilute liquid phase to the polymerizer and the remaining part to the separation tank, and separating the polymer from the concentrated liquid phase, etc. CONSTITUTION:In the polymerization of a monomer in a liquid medium under the reaction condition and the condition to dissolve the produced polymer in said medium, the polymerizer A is supplied with the monomer through the pipes 1, 2 and the catalyst through the pipes 3, 4 to effect the polymerization of the monomer. The polymerized liquid is introduced into the separation tank B and separated into two liquid phases comprising the concentrated liquid phase of the polymer and the dilute liquid phase thereof. The dilute liquid phase is taken out of the separation tank through the pipes 10, 11. A part of the phase is recycled to the polymerizer A via the cooler E, and the remaining part of the phase is recycled to the separation tank B. The concentrated liquid phase of the polymer and/or the polymerized liquid extracted from the polymerizer A are heated with the heater F to evaporate the solvent in the hopper C, and the polymer is taken out through the pipe 21.
