Steam ejector having a discharge nozzle (8) which widens towards its end and by which working steam is ejected into a suction chamber (1), in order to generate working steam having a high velocity, and having a diffuser (17) with a collar part, which is connected to the suction chamber (1) and through which the working steam and the gas to be drawn off are passed, in order to produce a strong vacuum therein, there being provided a device (9, 10) for separating the mist from the working steam between the collar part (6) of the discharge nozzle (8) and the inlet of the diffuser (17), and a device (15) for discharging the separated mist from the system to the outside. <IMAGE>
