PURPOSE:To obtain a semigloss, uniform plated film having excellent abrasion resistance, by using an iron-phosphorus electroplating bath comprising ferrous ions, a water-soluble phosphorus compound and one or both of a titanium compound and a zirconium compound. CONSTITUTION:The iron-phosphorus electroplating bath comprises ferrous ions in an amount of 20-80g per 1l of the plating bath, a water-soluble phosphorus compound in an amount of 0.05-20g per 1l of the plating bath, and one or both of a titanium compound and a zirconium compound in an amount of 0.05-10g as titanium and/or zirconium per 1l of the plating bath. The pH of the bath is set to be 0.5-3.5. In electroplating by using the bath, the bath temperature is set to be 30-70 deg.C, and the cathode current density is set to be 2-20A/dm<2>.
