PURPOSE:To obtain a simple and inexpensive anti- I absorbent by incorporating >=1 kind of compd. selected from the group consisting of the mucin derived from true beasts, milk and ovomucoid derived from the true Aves into said absobent as an I blood group substance. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the mucin derived from true beasts, milk and the ovomucoid derived from the true Aves is incorporated as an I blood group substance into an absorbent. The mucin is derived from a wild boar, rabbit, Ruminantia and horse genus and the milk is of man and Ruminantia. The ovomucoid is derived from the gallinaceous genus. The I blood group substance is deposited on an insoluble carrier such as zeolite particles in a soln. state. Said substance absorbs specifically anti- I which is the cause for pseudopositiveness in a cross match test blood transfusion and a blood inspection such as antibody screening. The equivocal reaction is thus prevented and the exact and quick inspection is made possible.
