PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance the strength and toughness of the titled steel, by containing not only a predetermined ratio of Cr, Ni, V, Nb, N, C, Si, Mn, Al and Fe but also Mo and W in a predetermined range. CONSTITUTION:The titled steel consists of, on a wt. basis, 7-10% Cr, Ni<=1.5%, 0.1-0.3% V, 0.02-0.1% Nb, 0.01-0.07% N, 0.1-0.2% C, Si<=0.1%, 0.05-1.5% Mn, Al<=0.02% and contains Mo and W within a range shown by the drawing [A (Mo; 1.75%, W; 0%), B (Mo; 1.75%, W; 10.5%), C (Mo; 1.53%, W; 0.5%), D (Mo; 1.3%, W; 1%), E (Mo; 2%, W; 1%), F (Mo; 2.5%, W; 0.5%), G (Mo; 2.5%, W; 0%)]. This steel excellent in strength at a high temp. and toughness under ambient temp.
