PURPOSE:To improve the maximum energy product as well as to improve the productivity by substituting not greater than 8% of Dy or Ho, combination thereof for a portion of Nd of a Nd-Fe-B-Co alloy, thereby increasing coercive force and suppressing the oxidation in powder state. CONSTITUTION:In a composition of, in atomic percentage, 8-30% of Nd, 2-2% of B, not greater than 50% of Co and Fe for the remaining parts, not greater than 8% of Dy or Ho, or combination thereof is substituted for a portion of Nd. By substituting Dy, Ho or complex thereof for a portion of Nd, not only coercive force can be increased, but also oxidation in powder state is suppressed, the rectangular nature of the demagnetization curve is improved, and if an appropriate amount is added, the maximum energy product is also improved. |
