<p>New steroids have, at the 17-position, -OZ and -C(CH3)=N-R20 or -OZ and (C(CH2Hal)=N-R20 (or are tautomers or acylates thereof), or -OH and -CN or -OZ and -CN substituents, in which Z is a blocking group and R20 is trialkylsilyl. The cyanohydrins can be converted to the enamide/enimide derivatives by methylation, and the products can be converted to oxazolines by reaction with acid.</p> |
