PURPOSE:To enable a mixture to be homogeneously packed into a zinc can freely movably supported by pressing and packing a molded mixture contained in a die into the zinc can be means of a pressure punch. CONSTITUTION:A powder mixture 25 contained in a hopper 15 is pressed and molded in the upper part of a die 14 by moving down a pressure punch 16. A surplus powder mixture escapes into the hopper 15 along the tapered surface of the pressure punch 16, thereby homogeneously molding the mixture 25 into a body with a desired density. Next, when a stopper 20 is moved down and the pressure punch 16 is pushed down, a cylinder 11 moves down while maintaining its internal pressure constant by means of a relief valve 18. As a result, a constant pressure is applied to a mixture 24 throughout packing, thereby making the density of a molded positive electrode 26 formed in a zinc can 13 homogeneous regardless of the area. |
