PURPOSE:To improve the heat transfer performance by a method wherein a seal ring is provided around the outer periphery of a disc-shape baffle plate, having holes for passing fluid on a part thereof, and the outflow of te fluid through a clearance between the baffle plate and the cylinder of the heat exchanger is prevented by the seal ring. CONSTITUTION:The baffle plate 11 is formed into the disc shape and the holes 12 for passing heating steam are provided on a part of the plate 11 while the baffle plate 11 is provided with a groove 13 on the outer periphery thereof to fit the seal ring 14 thereinto. An accurately finished ring 16 is welded to the cylinder 15 of the heat exchanger by seal welding at a place corresponding to the baffle plate 11. The inner diameter of the same ring 16 is reduced gradually so that the baffle plate 11 can be inserted into the cylinder 15 of the heat exchanger easily. The clearance between the baffle plate 11 and the cylinder 15 of the heat exchanger is sealed by the seal ring 14 and the ring 16, therefore, bypassing flow of the heating steam through the clearance between said both parts is eliminated and the heat transfer performance may be improved. |
