PURPOSE:To increase the average output by forming a plurality of exciting light source, and selecting the timing of the oscillation in response to the number of the sources. CONSTITUTION:A colorant solution 1 is sealed in a colorant cell 2. A beam expander 6 is provided oppositely to one end of the cell 2, and an etharon 7 and a grating 8 are further provided. The grating and a mirror 3 are operated as a light resonator. Pulse solid laser oscillators 9, 10 are provided as light sources for exciting the solution 1. The maximum oscillation repetition frequencies of the oscillators 9, 10 are set to NHz, and the oscillator 10 is displaced by 1/2N sec with respect to 1/Nsec period of the oscillator 9, and oscillated. The solution 1 is excited at a period of 1/2Nsec by the laser lights 11, 12 emitted alternately, and the maximum oscillating repetition frequency of the oscillator becomes 2NHz. When the output of the colorant laser light is P Joule per pulse, the maximum average output of the light 15 is 2NXP watts. |
