<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a degree of suction resistance as well as to improve charging efficiency, by making up an on-off valve in an equivalent pipe length's auxiliary suction passage identical with a main suction passage, into a conial surface being of convex form in the front and the back. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary suction passage 16 having equivalent pipe length identical with a main suction passage 12 is installed in position between an air cleaner 9 and a suction manifold 2, while a concave spot is installed in a connecting part of the main suction passage 12, and a valve 19 opening or closing a hole 18 is installed in this concave spot. The valve 19 leads suction pressure in a suction pressure tank 31 into a diaphragm 21 in making a suction pressure selector valve 33 operate by means of a control unit 34 whereby the valve 19 operates so as to be closed excepting its high load state. The valve 19 is made up into a conical surface being of concave form in the front and the back so that in time of valve opening at engine high load, a pressure wave reciprocating to or from the valve 19 is little to receive any influence of a valve body, thus charging efficiency is improvable.</p> |
