PURPOSE:To improve both resolution and a dynamic range, by providing a means, which converts the relationship between a force and the amount of movement with respect to a movable piece that is linearly moved by the application of a force to be measured, into the relationship of non-linear shape or a polygonal line shape. CONSTITUTION:A force to be measured F is received by a pressure receiving part 4. A movable piece 1, which can be linearly moved, is compressed through a linking rod 5. Spring members 30 and 31 are provided between the movable piece 1 and a wall 6. When the restoring force of the spring becomes equal to the force F, the movable piece 1 becomes a stabilized state. The amount of movement of the movable piece 1 at this time is detected by a sensor such as a magnetic scale 2 and the like and the force F is measured. The spring is formed by the two springs 30 and 31 having different spring constants. The relationship between the amount of the movement of the movable piece 1 and the force F is expressed by a bent line, which is changed at a point, where the coil of the spring 30 having the smaller spring constant is closely contacted. |
