<p>PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction of a touch panel and erroneous detection of touch input by stopping scanning of detecting electrodes for a certain period at a touch input detection time and scanning them to detect an input position thereafter. CONSTITUTION:A dummy terminal E is provided in the input of a multiplexer 2; and for example, if touch input is executed in a position A, this terminal E is selected to stop scanning for a certain period before scanning of the electrode in the next position B. After a voltage waveform is restored to the steady state during this stop time, the electrode in the position B and following electrodes are scanned. When input is detected, stop of electrode scanning and indication of selection of the dummy terminal E are performed by a timing control program of a microprocessor. Thus, erroneous discriminating detection of touch input due to transient response operation characteristics of a resonance circuit 3 is prevented.</p> |
