PURPOSE:To obtain uniform scorched color of bread, by constituting an electric cooker such as an oven toaster in such a manner that the toasting time corresponding to the number of bread can be set by a signal which is outputted from a sensing device which has a plurality of sensing parts to sense each piece of material to be cooked, being put on a net rack. CONSTITUTION:For example, when two pieces of bread are put on a net rack 3, two sensing levers 4 are respectively lowered down by each bread, and the net rack 3 is moved into a heating chamber by a closing action of a door. As the rack 3 is moved into the heating chamber, free ends of both levers 4 actuate the levers 6 of two sensing switches 5, respectively, to close the contact points of both switched 5. By closing of contact points, an electonic timer which is not shown set the toasting time for two pieces of bread. When one piece of bread is toasted, one switch 5 only is actuated, and the time for toasting of one piece of bread can be set in a toaster. With such an arrangement, the same brown color can be obtained on bread regardless of the number of pieces of bread to be toasted. |
